Who has to eFile certificates with CPSC?

Importers and domestic manufacturers of regulated consumer products — including children's products like toys — must certify compliance. From July 8, 2026, those certificates must be filed electronically to the CPSC Product Registry at the time of entry.

What do I actually upload?

Your lab's Final Test Report (FTR) as a PDF. eFileIQ confirms it is a genuine test report, then OCRs and extracts the seven required CPSC elements — no manual data entry on your side.

Does eFileIQ submit directly to CPSC?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Approved certificates are filed straight to the Product Registry API using a token issued from your own registry account. We store that token in an encrypted vault and never see your CPSC login.

What's the difference between GCC and CPC?

Accepted Answer

A General Certificate of Conformity covers general-use products; a Children's Product Certificate covers products designed for children 12 and under. eFileIQ detects which one applies and generates the right certificate.

Do I have to switch testing labs?

No. eFileIQ works with reports from any ISO/IEC 17025-accredited lab. Keep your existing lab relationships — we just read what they produce.

How is my data protected?
